Anatoliy PETRITSKY, Setdesigner and painter; Popular Painter of USSR since 1949. Order of Lenin, 1960; three other orders; Ukrainia Minister of Culture’s Scroll of Honor; two Stalin Prizes, 1949, 1951. Member, Communist Party, since 1943.

    • 1917-1920 chief set designer at Kiev theaters. While postgrad, student, designed stage sets for theaters in Moscow. Since 1924 worked in major theaters in Ukrainia and assisted in productions at Bolshoy and Maly Theaters in Moscow.
