      1954-1957 Second Secretary, Leningrad City, then Second Secretary, Leningrad Oblast Communist Party of the Soviet Union Committee. 1957-1959 First Secretary, Leningrad City Communist Party of the Soviet Union Committee. Deputy, Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic Supreme Soviet of 1955 convocation.
