Yakov ROMAS, USSR Painter and interior decorator. Full member, USSR Academy, of Arts, since 1958; Honoured Art Worker Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic since 1952. Stalin Prize, 1948. Member, Communist Party, since 1929.

    • 1930 graduated Higher Art and Technology Institute.

    Career

    • 1935 helped decorate interiors of “Krasnoselskaya” Metro station in Moscow. 1936 decorated halls of Lenin Central Museum. 1939 decorated USSR Pavilion at New York Exhibition.

      1957 Chairman, Monumental and Applied Fine Arts Section of Exhibition Committee, All-Union Art Exhibition.
