Graduated from the Frunze Military Academy, 1931. Graduated from the Academy of the General Staff, 1953, and became a professor at the same Academy.
1942-1943 commanded tank corps in Battle of Stalingrad. Summer 1943 Commander, 5th Guards Tank Army in fighting on KurskOrel line and in rout of German forces at Belgorod and Kharkov. 1944 Commander, 5th Tank Army, Second Ukrainia Front, in Battle of the Dnieper and in Korsun-Shevchenko operation.
1959 Deputy, Moscow City Soviet. 1918-1920 fought with Red Army in Civil War. Early 1930's served in armored units of Soviet Army.
Subsequently commanded mechanized battalion regiment, then Chief of Staff of a motorized mechanized corps. 1941-1945 commanded large armored units, including mechanized brigade, armored corps and 5th Guards Tank Army. 1944-1945 Deputy Commander, Armored and Mechanized Forces.
1945-1947 commanded group of Soviet armored occupation troops in Germany. 1947-1948 commanded armored and mechanized forces in Far East. 1948 directed officer training, Main Admin, of Armored Forces.
1952-1955 Head, Stalin Armored Forces Academy. 1955-1958 Commander of Armored Forces, Soviet Army, and Head, Main Admin, of Armored Forces.
Religion divides people, and is a cause of numerous wars and conflicts throughout the human history.
The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
