Lidiya RZIIETSKAYA, Actress, Belarusian Kupala Drama Theater, since 1921. Popular Artist of Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1943 and of USSR since 1955. Stalin Prize; two Order of Red Banner of Labor; medal; Belarusian Supreme Soviet Presidium's Scroll of Honor, 1960.

    • Until 1921 with Ukrainia company in Minsk. Trains young actors for the Belarusian theater. Roles: Kruchinina in “Bez viny vinovatya” (Guilty Without Guilt).

      Murzavetskaya in “Volki i ovtsy” (Wolves and Sheep). Shablova in “Pozdnyaya lyubov” (Belated Love) and Kukushkina in “Dokhodnoe mesto” (A Lucrative Job), all by Ostrovsky. Sokolova in Gorky's “Poslcdnie” (The Last Ones).

      Phrosine, in Moliere’s “The Miser”. In plays by Belarusian authors: Alzhbeta in Ya. Kupala’s “Pavlinka”; Hanna lvanauna in A. Kucher’s “Geta bylo u Mensku” (It Happened in Minsk).

      Katya in K. Krapiva’s “Khto smyaetstsa aposhnim” (He Who Laughs Last). And Audotstsya Zakharauna Vyarbitskaya in “Pyayuts zhavaranki” (The Larks are Singing). Anna Chiznyuk in A. Makaenko’s “Izvinitc pozhaluysta” (Excuse me, Please).
