Member, Communist Party, since 1919.
1944 helped found USSR Academy of Medical Science. Editor, journal “Meditsinskaya parazitologiya i parazitamye bolezni” (Medical Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases). Со-Editor, “Epidemiology” and “Infectious Diseases” sections “Bolshaya meditsinskaya entsiklopediya” (Large Medical Encyclopedia), 2nd edition.
Member, Editor Council, “Zhurnal mikrobiologii, epidemiologii i immunobiologii” (Journal of Microbiology, Epidemiology and Immunology). Works deal with parasitology and epidemiology, e. g., septic angina, Japanese encephalitis, malaria, antibiotics and fauna of sand-flies in the Caucasus. 1958 participated in “Soviet- Hungarian Days” in Budapest, which were devoted to problems of viruses and antibiotics.
1959 directed All-Union Conference on Parasitic Diseases, Moscow, and science session of USSR Academy of Medical Science, Gorky, on labor hygiene in the chemical industry. 1953-1957 Academy Secretary,Department of Hygiene, Microbiology and Epidemiology, USSR Academy of Medical Science.
