1926-1929 teacher; 1934-1953 at State Optical Institute. 1953-1954 Head of a section, Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Belarusian Academy of Sciences. 1954-1957 Director, Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Belarusian Academy of Sciences.
1960-1961 member, Auditing Commission, Communist Party Belarusian. Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1958 convoc. 1959 headed Belarusian delegation at 3rd General Conference, International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna.
Did research on properties of rare earths, complex organic molecules, photo synthesis and the optical properties of uranyl compounds.
