    • Member, Editorial Board, “Bolshaya meditsinskaya entsiklopcdiya” (Large Medical Encyclopedia), 2nd edition. Works deal with biochemistry, especially biochemistry of blood and muscle tissue. Helped establish time and sequence of appearance of carnosine and anserine in the body’s development and their effect in increasing the efficacy of phosphorylation processes in the skeletal musculature.

      1924-1932 specialized in biochemistry and physiology at Laboratory, Moscow Institute of Occupational Diseases. 1932-1948 Professor, Chair of Biochemistry, 3rd Moscow Medicine Institute, now Ryazan Medicine Institute. 1933-1939 Professor, Chair of Biochemistry, Moscow University.

      1945-1947 Director, Institute of Nutrition. 1948-1949 Director, Institute of Biological and Medicine Chemistry, USSR Academy of Medical Science. 1949-1957 Academy Secretary,Department of Medicine and Biological Science, USSR Academy of Medical Science.
