Order of Lenin; three other orders; medals; World Peace Council’s medal and Scroll of Honor, 1960.

      1928-1932 instructor, Leningrad Polytechn. Institute; took part in following USSR Academy of Science expeditions. 1914 Radium Expedition.

      1928 Pamir Expedition. Tadzhikistan-Pamir Expedition, expeditions to: Transbaykal, Kazakhstan, Central Urals, Crimea, Karelia, Kola Penninsula, etc. 1956 headed Soviet delegation at 20th session of International Geology Congress, Mexico.

      1959 headed Soviet delegation at Congress of Oceanographers, New York. 1960 headed Soviet delegate at 47th session of Indian Science Congress. Since 1959 Chairman, Interdept.

      Science Council; since 1960 member, Committee Lenin Prizes for Literature and Art.

    Religion

    There is no solid or tangible evidence for God nor a logical argument for God. The existence of God is taken on faith and not by evidence.

    Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
