Artistic Director, Minsk Philarmonic, since 1944, Popular Artist of Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1953, and of USSR since 1955; Chairman, Belarusian Union of Composers; board member, USSR Union of Composers, since 1948. Order of Lenin, 1944; two Order of Red Banner of Labor, 1940, 1949; medals. Member, Communist Party, since 1948.

      1959 elected member, Belarusian Supreme Soviet Commission for National Education and Culture.
