Full member, All-Union Lenin Academy, of Agriculture Science, since 1932; full member, USSR Academy of Science, since 1939; Director, Main Botanical Gardens, USSR Academy of Science, since 1945; President, Soviet-Indian Society for Friendship and Cultural Relations, since 1958.       Since 1947 honorary member, Czechoslovakian Academy, of Agriculture. Since 1960 corresponding member, German Academy, of Agriculture Science, and honorary doctor, Jena University. Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1937, 1950 and 1954 convocation.

      1954 member Soviet delegation at 2nd All-Indian Conference of Soviet-Indian Society for Friendship and Cultural Relations. 1959 headed Soviet delegation to India. Chairman, Moscow Committee the Defense of Peace.

      1927 at All-Union Institute of Grain Farming for the Southeast. 1932-1936 at Omsk Zonal Experimental Station, later reorganized into Siberian Research Institute of Grain Farming. 1936-1938 Director, above institutes.

      1938-1948 V.-President, All-Union Lenin Academy, of Agriculture Science. 1939-1948 Chairman, State Commission for Testing Varieties of Grain Crops, Olcaceae and Grasses. 1940-1949 Director, Research Institute of Grain Farming in the Non-Black Earth Areas of the USSR.
