Has often taken part in talks and conclusion of intemat. treaties: 1956 attended conclusion of Soviet-Polish treaty on the legal status of Soviet troops stationed in Poland. November 1959 deputized for Head of Soviet delegation at international conference in Washington, held to draft a treaty on the use of the Antarctic for scientific purposes.
March 1959 headed Soviet delegation at 2nd United Nations Conference on Maritime Law, Geneva.
