Vladimir Kaplanovich ZHGENTI

Vladimir ZHGENTI, USSR Pathoanatomist. Professor; full member, Georgia Academy of Sciences, since 1950; Head, Chair of Pathological Anatomy, Tiflis University, now Tbilisi Medicine Institute, since 1922; Honoured Worker of Science of Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1941. Member, Communist Party, since 1945.

    • 1915 graduated Medical Faculty, Novorossiysk University, Odessa.


    • 1918-1922 at Novorossiysk University, Odessa. 1946-1950 corresponding member, Georgia Academy of Sciences. 1926-1954 member, since 1954 Chairman, Presidium, Learned Medicine Council, Georgia Ministry of Health.

      Member Editor Council, journal “Arkhiv patologii” (Archives of Pathology). Works deal with oncology, infections, pathogenesis, regional pathology, etc.


    Member, Communist Party, since 1945.


    Religion discourages exploration of science and universe by suppressing curiosity, and denies its followers a broader perspective.


    Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
