ZHUKOV-VEREZHNIKOV, Nikolay was born in 1908.
1930 graduated Medical Faculty, 2nd Moscow University, now 2nd Moscow Pirogov Medicine Institute.
1932 developed biological theory of immunity. 1944 experimentally developed formulae for antiplague vaccine which made feasible production of the first live vaccine in USSR. 1945 submitted effective comprehensive method of treating primary pulmonary plague, consisting in use of bacteriostatic and antitoxic preparations to prolong patient’s life until his body can develop active immunity.
