Eary work related to econometric methods, in particular to studies of finite sample properties of estimators of simultaneous equations systems from a Bayesian viewpoint. Applications of Bayesian methods to study distributed lags with special reference to demand for financial assets. Developed simple models to study the substitutability among financial assets.
In order to formulate Bayesian priors based on economic theory and to build models incorporating money, I developed an interest in economic theory. Studied existence of temporary general equilibria with many periods and uncertain technology and efficiency properties of such equilibria. Worked on non-Walrasian general equilibrium models with price rigidities and rationing.
Using these models I studied problems of price and distribution control in Indian industries.
