Umberto RICCI, Italian economist.
RICCI, Umberto was born in 1879 in Chieti, Italy.
Beginning his career as an administrator he rose, via his work on agricultural economics, to become a major theoretician. He wrote on capital, supply and demand curves, theory of wants, savings and taxation, and dealt with applied economics in various journals. One of these articles was the immediate cause of the Fascist government depriving him of his Rome chair.
