  • BEN ABDULAZIZ, ABDULLAH AL-FAISAL was born in 1923 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

  • Education

    • Received general court education supplemented by private tutoring and extensive reading. One of the major poets in contemporary Arabic literature. During his father’s term of service as Viceroy of Hijaz province, Prince Abdullah was his assistant and special adviser.

      He also assumed the post of Minister of the Interior for some time.

    Career

    • Prince Abdullah left government service to devote his efforts to a wide complex of commercial and business ventures. He is Owner and Chairman of Board of several companies and agencies, foremost among which are General Motors Agency, Saudi Shipment Company, Sony Electronics etc. Founder of King Faisal’s International Charity Society.

    Works

    • Mahroum: Min Wahye el Hirman (Deprived of Joy. Poems inspired by deprivation) a collection of poetry which has occupied an important place in modern Arabic literature.
