He acted as Special Envoy of King Khalid in several diplomatic and political missions. Participated actively in pan-Arab efforts to end the civil war in Lebanon. Member of Saudi delegation to Arab restricted summit, Riyadh 1976 and full-scale Arab summit, Cairo, October 1976.
Member of Saudi delegation accompanying His Majesty King Khalid on his state visits to Cairo, Pakistan, Syria, the Sudan, France and Belgium. Minister of Foreign Affairs since 1975.
