He practiced for a time (1876-1881), in association with William H. Walker under the name of Walker & Gould. Among the firms works were a number of early buildings such as the Library at Brown University, built in 1878 and long since razed; Vaughan Office Building, and at Philadelphia the Rhode Island Building at the Centennial Exposition.
After Mr. Walker withdrew from the firm in 1881, Mr. Gould was associated with Frank Angell for a number of years, and during that period was the architect of Blackstone Hall at Brown University; Wilson Hall (1891) at the University, a Methodist Church at Hebronville, Mass., and the Union Block at Putnam, Conn.
