Elected member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, 1956, appointed Secretary of the Central Committee by Khrushchev, to whom she was close. During Khrushchev’s rule, autocratic Minister of Culture of the USSR. Lost importance after his removal.
