Career
Member of the religious intelligentsia in Moscow at the beginning of the 20th century. During World War I, worked on a history of the Christian church (fragments of which were published by the Moscow Patriarchate in 1971 in Bogoslovskie Trudy). Member of the Commission for the Protection of the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra (Zagorsk monastery), 1918.
Member of the Institute of People’s Education, 1920. Became sick with tuberculosis, 1924. Priest, 1926. Served at the Dubrovskii Convent near Vereia.
