Nedei'skaia, Elena was born in 1906.
Left Russia during the Civil War with her parents. Grew up in Harbin (Kharbin), which was, in the 1920s- 40s, a unique free Russian city on Chinese soil. Became a well-known poetess, publishing her poems in local Russian newspapers.
After the Communist take-over in China, moved with other Russian exiles to Australia. Continued to write poetry, and became the ‘Poetess of the Russian Harbin’.
