Patented, 1868, when but 15 years old, improvement in rotary steam engines. Studied applied mechanics and drawing, Boston. Invented web adjustable press, 1874, which received diploma Massachusetts Charitable Mechanics Institute, 1878.
Kidder press now in large use, especially for printing consecutive numbering of railroad and other tickets from continous roll.
Invented many other improvements in presses, typewriters, automobile appliances, et cetera Consulting engineer Rochester Industries, Incorporated., manufacturers of his later improvements in writing machines, since 1923.
