Became cashier 1st National Bank, Dillon. President since 1890. Appointed, March, 1889, governor Montana by President Harrison.
Serving until November following, when Montana became a state. Speaker Montana House of Representatives, 1903. Member Montana Senate, 1905-1907 (president pro-tem.).
