Carletti is an economist. Her research interests are banking, financial stability, corporate governance, industrial organization and competition policy. She is currently working on capital regulation, bank consolidation, and the implications of the structure of policy institutions for the efficiency and stability of credit markets.

Career
Prof. Carletti joined the Institute in October 2008 from the Goethe University of Frankfurt where she is Associate Professor of Finance. She was previously an Assistant Professor at the University of Mannheim (2000-2004) and Senior Researcher at the Center for Financial Studies in Frankfurt (2004-2008).
