My university studies span over three continents as follows:
1.1 Licentiate degree in Mathematics and Mathematics Education (studied using the Spanish Language) from the Instituto Superior Pedagogico Enrique Jose` Varona, Havanna Cuba (1992), under the Zimbabwe-Cuba Government full Scholarship.
1.2 BSc (Special Honours) in Mathematics (1996) from the University of Zimbabwe, under the Zimbabwe Government full scholarship.
1.3 MSc in Mathematics (2003) from the University of Zimbabwe.
1.4 Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Zimbabwe with partial affiliation at the Centre of Mathematics for Application (CMA), University of Oslo (2009). The doctorate studies were fully sponsored by the Norwegian University Scholarship Fund (NUFU). Both my masters and doctorate research studies were supervised by Prof Fred Benth of the University of Oslo, Norway, in the area of Mathematical Finance.
I have worked as a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe for five years up to 2007. I then joined the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Pretoria, as a lecturer and now senior lecturer.
I have worked as a high school teacher at Cranborne Boys High School, Harare, from September 1992 to 2001. Got promoted to the Head of Department (HOD) of Mathematics 1997 to 2001.
I have worked as a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe for five years up to 2007. I then joined the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Pretoria, in South Africa as a lecturer and now senior lecturer. I have worked through the University of Pretoria Business Enterprise with the private sector as a consultant. Eg., Nedbank Risk Academy.
Can reflect both the phlegmatic and the sanguine characters.
Married to Rachel, with one son and two daughters.
