To My Beloved Brothers and Sisters of the Planet Earth, The following phrases of concentrations were inspired during a 21.day spiritual retreat on a farm in Maryland, many years ago. One of the focuses during that retreat was the practice of Nature Meditations given by Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan in 1921, which he called the essence of his message. Hence, the seeds for this work were planted. The feeling of gratitude for my retreat guide, David Less, is overwhelming. The concentrations may be read as poetry. Or they may be repeated aloud individually several times, i.e. 7, 11, 33, 99, 101. Yet one of the most powerful ways to use these concentrations is as a breath practice. Your concentration and breath should follow the type design this way: Inhale with this type. HOLD with the ALL CAPS type. Exhale on the normal type. These practices on the breath can be done when needed to help transform a feeling, thought, or situation. The Human Nature Meditations have been loosely categorized for your convenience. Please choose to pass over those phrases that are not appealing. The author has discovered that the concentrations are most powerful when repeated several times aloud and then repeated as a breath practice. Hence, the meaning of each becomes clearer. For maximum benefit, select a phrase and concentrate on it for four days, 40 days, four years, or 40 years. The last group of concentrations is written for Advanced Students Only. Please read the rules to determine whether or not you are an Advanced Student before proceeding to practice these concentrations. Enjoy! May your life be blessed and may your purpose be fulfilled.
