Yakov FLIER, Pianist; Professor, Moscow Conservatory, since 1947; Honoured Art Worker Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. First Prize at International Competition for Pianists, Vienna, 1936; Second Prize at International Ysage Competition for Violinists and Pianists, Brussels, 1938; several orders; medals. Member, Communist Party, since 1943.
