1923 graduated Medical Faculty, Moscow University. Specialized in neurology and histology.
Helped organize Brain Institute, USSR Academy of Medical Science, Moscow. Helped introduce encephalographic method into Soviet medical practice. 1948-1951 Academy Secretary, 1951-1954 and 1957-1959 Presidium member, USSR Academy of Medical Science.
President, Medicine Section, All-Union Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries. Since 1944 member, English Royal Medicine Society. Since 1957 member, International Health Association for the Study of Living and Health Conditions.

1959 directed symposium at 9th All-Union Congress of Physiologists, Biochemists and Pharmacologists, Minsk. Since 1959 Chairman, Competition Commission for Awarding Nominal Prizes for Best Works on Neurology, USSR Academy of Medical Science.
