1954 directed mobilization of 350,000 Communist Youth League members for development of virgin and long-fallow lands. 1956 supervised mobilization of 300,000 youths and girls for “building Communism” in Siberia, northern USSR and Far East. 1957 organized dispatch of 650,000 Communist Youth League secondary school leavers to work in stock-raising.
Initiated “voluntary” monetary contributions by Communist Youth League members for benefit of government (3 billion rubles for 40th Anniversary of October Revolution. 5 billion rubles for 13th All-Union Communist Youth League Congress), as well as militarization of Communist Youth League and enlistment of all Communist Youth League members for Voluntary Society for Cooperation with the Army, Air Force and Navy activities. Member, Editor Commission, 1956 Communist Party of the Soviet Union Congress, and member, Commission for Examining Amendments and Additions to the 1956 Communist Party of the Soviet Union Congress Draft Directive on the 6th Five Year Plan for Development of USSR Economics.
