1925 graduated Moscow Higher Technology School.
1924-1933 draftsman, designer, section head, and Deputy Chief Designer,Department of Experimental Aircraft Construction, Moscow Central Aerodynamics Institute. 1932 Head, Section for Designing Experimental Record Long-Range Aircraft, Experimental Design Bureau Nr.46. 1933 helped design reconnaissance and other aircraft.
1934-1935 designed and built his first combat plane, the all-metal twin-engined DB-1 long-range bomber. 1936-1937 developed the twin-engined DB-2 long-range bomber (civil version “Rodina”). 1939 designed the all-metal one-engined Su-2 bomber.
S. World War II engaged in experimental aircraft construction. 1954 developed the twinengined Su-14 jet bomber, which was put into military service. Since 1955 has been working on a super-heavy, multi-engine long-range jet bomber.
