Was Presidium member, USSR Academy of Medical Science. Founded Institute of Therapy at USSR Academy of Medical Science. For many years was Permanent Chairman, Cardiology Section, Moscow Society of Therapeutists.
One of first Russ, clinicians to study electrophysiology of the heart. His theory of the bicardiogram has won universal recognition and his classification of hypertonia is widely accepted. Works deal mainly with cardiology and clinical electrocardiography.
