Development of a fairly large multi-sectoral growth model (the MSGmodel), which includes input-output relationships, factor substitution in production, income generation, pricedependent consumer-demand relations,
and other relations for the Norwegian economy. The model was extensively used in Norwegian long-term planning and projections, and was probably the first empirical elaboration and application of a general equilibrium model (for a moving equilibrium) with endogenous prices and substitution effects. Various contributions to public economics, especially the formal elaboration of the Lindahl theory of public expenditure and the interpretation of this theory on the basis of modern welfare theory.
