In 1975 she received a degree of the Bachelor of Arts. In 1994 she was a student of the Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. She became a Master of Arts. Also, in this year she studied at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island, United States. She received a degree of the Doctor of Philosophy.
Alexia worked as an English instructor at Dean College in Franklin, Tennessee, United States from 1987 to 1990. In this year she became a Lecturer at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Connecticut, United States. He held this position until 1995.
