August LÖSCH, German economist.


LÖSCH, August was born in 1906 in Ohringen, Württemberg, Germany.


His Economics of Location is generally regarded as one of the masterpieces of spatial economics, weaving together the classical location theory of Thünen and Weber with the newer emphasis on demand inspired by the monopolistic competition of revolution. Studied Universities Tübingen, Kiel, Freiburg, Bonn.
