Charlotte Trolinger received her Master of Science in Photography from the IIT Institute of Design (ID) at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago, in 1978, where she also received a Bachelor of Science (1973) in the field of architecture.
Charlotte Trolinger has been teaching at the Old Town Triangle Art Center in Chicago since 1979 and has been an artist-in-residence at the Chicago Council on Fine Arts in Photography since 1978. Previously Charlotte Trolinger worked at Columbia College, Chicago, as a photo instructor from 1978 to 1979 and as a freelance photographer in Chicago, from June 1977 through September 1978.
Working primarily in large format, she concentrates on architectural photographs in black-and-white and color in a formal style. She also works in a small format.
A member of the SPE, Charlotte Trolinger is also a member of Friends of Photography.
