Conrad Gleber completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Florida State University, Tallahassee, and his Master of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Conrad Gleber has been director of publications for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago since 1977, and since 1975 has taught offset production at the school. In 1977 he co-founded Chicago Books, an artists' press, which he also directs.
Conrad Gleber became a journeyman in the International Typographical Union in 1974. From 1976 to 1979 he was a visiting artist at several universities.
Gleber's work, although based on photographic images and ideas, is realized through the use of offset printing, commercial halftones and color separations.
