BARENBOIM, Daniel was born on November 15, 1942 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Son of Professor Enrique and Aida (nee Schuster) Barenboim.

Debut in Buenos Aires at age of seven. Played Bach D Minor Concerto with orchestra at Salzburg Mozarteum at age of nine. Has played in Europe regularly since 1954.

Yearly tours of United States of America since 1957. Has toured Japan, Australia and S. America. Has played with or conducted London Philharmonic, Philharmonia Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New' York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic.

Frequently tours with English Chamber Orchestra and with them. Director Orchestre de Paris 1975-1989, Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1991. Beethoven.
