With Liberty National Bank, New York City, 1898. Assistant treasurer Bankers Trust Company, 1903-1904, treasurer, 1904-1908. Elected vice president, 1908, director, 1910, resigned as vice president, 1922, but retains directorship.

Also director American Brake Shoe Company, Bucyrus-Erie Company Major, American Broadcasting Company, World War I. Republican State Committeeman from Bergen County, New Jersey, 1918-1934, 1936-1937. Member Republican National Committee from New Jersey, 1928-1942 (vice chairman 1928-1932, 1937-1940). Eastern treasurer National Committee, Coolidge Campaign, 1924.
