Dalbo began his career as an assistant marketing manager at Fedders Corporation in 1972. Two years later he took a position of an advertising account manager at Oxy Metal Industries. Then in 1976, Eugene became an associate director of marketing at Boy Scouts of American. Also he served as a national advertising manager at the same organization from 1980 to 1986. In 1986 Dalbo was appointed a marketing director for the Boy Scouts of America.
Dalbo was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
