From 1908 to 1911 he was a dean at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Savior in Faribault, Minnesota. From 1911 to 1915 he was a rector at the Church of Our Savior in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. From 1915 to 1937 Bartlett was a dean and professor at the Division School Protestant Episcopal Church, Philadelphia.
