Secretary Synodical Home Missions of North Carolina Lutheran Synod, 1907-1917, organizing and building chs. at High Point, Greensboro, Mooresville, Landis, Liberty and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Pastor Holy Trinity Church, Raleigh, 1911-1919. President United Lutheran Synod of North Carolina, 1919-1947. Retired 1947; member Board Foreign Missions United Lutheran Church in America.
