Rodger, James George was born on July 3, 1852 in Hammond, New York, United States. Son of Robert and Ann (Waddell) Rodger.


Bachelor of Arts, Yale, 1876. Studied Harvard, 1881, Leipzig, 1883. Graduate Union Theological Seminary, 1884.

Edinburgh, Medical Department, 1890-1893. Honorary Doctor of Philosophy., Olivet, 1896.


Ordained Presbyterian ministry, 1884. Pastor First Church, New Haven, Connecticut, 1884-1890. President Benzonia (Olivet) College, 1895-1896.

Professor Christian evidence from the scientific standpoint, Interstate College, Humphreys, Missouri, 1896-1903. Founder California University Union, Inc., 1904. Now managing director International University Union, Inc., Washington, District of Columbia, and professor science of (religion or) human relations.

Founder new mission to the Orient. President, director “I.U.U. Legion for Manhood” in its moral sanitation work for United States Army and Navy, 1917-1919. Has made 4 trips around the world, lecturing before university and colls.
