Worked at Fountain Court Chambers. Master of Laws (Oxfordshire), called, L 1994. A large and long established set of Chambers, practising primarily in the commercial field but with a wide range of other specialties.
Much of the work is international in character.
The size of Chambers enables it to supply teams of Counsel at all levels of seniority, to deal with large-scale litigation. Areas include in particular: arbitration, sale of goods, international trade, banking and financial services, shipping, aviation (including air transport licensing), "City" regulatory work (including Lloyd"s disciplinary tribunals), professional negligence, insurance and reinsurance, takeovers and mergers, oil and gas contracts.
European Economic Community law is an aspect of much of this work. Other specialities include: administrative law and judicial review, building disputes, employment law (including industrial disputes and sex discrimination), media and entertainment law, medical and pharmaceutical law (including medical negligence), Parliamentary bills, personal injury (including disaster litigation).
