Church, 1879; pastor St. Peter’s Church, Brooklyn, New York, October 8, 1878, senior pastor, October since 1914(congregation grown from 225 to 2,000, and church property now valued at $238,000). Actively identified for more than 48 years with interests of the church. Many times delegate to Pennsylvania Ministerium and General Council.

President New York Conference, 1899-1902. President Ministerium of New York and adjacent States, 1902-1905. Delegate to United Lutheran Church, 4 times.

Chairman Lutheran Liberty Loan Committee for Brooklyn and Long Island, 3d and 4th loans, 1918. Vice-president German section Brooklyn Institute Arts and Sciences, 1913. Director Lutheran Theological Seminary, Mount Airy, Philadelphia, 1891-1895, 1918, 22.
