Assistant United States district attorney, Western District of Pennsylvania, 1896-1903. Chief clerk and corporation deputy in auditor general’s department of Pennsylvania, 1903-1909. Member 61st to 63d Congresses (1909-1915), 27th Pennsylvania District.

Now judge Court Common Pleas of Indiana Company.
