Kromer, Leon Benjamin was born on June 25, 1876 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. Son of N. B. and Rosetta (Suddick) Kromer.

Education

Graduated from the United States Military Academy, 1899.

Career

Entered United States Army as Second lieutenant and promoted through grades to colonel. Appointed chief of cavalry, rank of major general, for 4 years from March 1934-1938. Retired with rank of major general, June 30, 1938.

Returned to active duty with rank of Colonel, January 7, 1941, relieved September 30, 1941.
