KEMPE, Mirdza was born in 1907 in Liepaja, Latvia.


1927-1941 announcer, then translator at Latvia Radio Studios. 1941-1945 in USSR translating Russ, classics, Pushkin, Lermontov, Gorky, etc. Into Latvia; 1925 first work published.

Since 1946 has devoted herself solely to literature activity.
