Olga Nikolaevna graduated from the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology (now Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technologies) (1968). She is qualified as an engineer in the rare metal industry (Moscow, 1968-1974).
Olga Nikolaevna Postnikova has been engaged in literary activity since the beginning of the 1960s. She was an employee of the Central Scientific and Restoration Design Workshops (1974-1997). She participated in the restoration of cultural artifacts (Crimea, Tver region, Smolensk, Moscow, Moscow region). Olga Nikolaevna was the Director of the Graduate School of Restoration of the Department of Art History at Russian State Humanitarian University.
Olga Nikolaevna has published over 40 articles concerning the issues of conservation technology and restoration of architectural monuments. Her works were published in the "Novyy mir" (New World), "Znamya" (Banner), "Grani "(Edges), "Kontinent" magazines and other publications. She is the author of the poetry collections: "Leap Year" (1984), "Pontic Salt" (1992), "Winged Lion" (1993), "Woman's Songs" (1995), "Ferrum" (1998). She was a collector of memoirs of the 20th century, some of which were published in books: "In August 1991" (1993), "to Moscow - with Love" (1994).
