In 1964, Ronald earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the same college. Also in 1968, he was given a Master of Arts degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1973 from the University of Missouri.
Cerwonka served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He began his career as an instructor at Worcester Junior College in 1964. Three years later Ronald took a position of an assistant instructor at the University of Missouri.
In 1968, Ronald was appointed an assistant professor at Lincoln University. Also he served as an assistant professor at St. Bonaventure University from 1970 to 1974. In 1974, Cerwonka became a professor at Providence College. In 1995 he became a professor emeritus at the same college. Also he was a visiting professor at Piedmont College.
Cerwonka was a member of American Economics Association, Eastern Finance Association, Finance Management Association and Finance Executives Institute.
On January 2, 1954 Ronald Cerwonka married Diana Laurie Robinson. They have five children and eight grandchildren.
